Our Wonderful Experience at Bali’s Candi Beach Resort & Spa

Bali is undoubtedly an Asian gem, showcasing incredible beauty and a wealth of attractions. After several attempts over the years, we finally made it to Bali in May, and our family had an unforgettable time. Candi Beach Resort & Spa was the first place we stayed at during our 10-days Bali trip and it’s far more than just a place to stay; it’s a true Bali experience. From the breathtaking ocean views to the exceptional hospitality and delightful food, everything comes together seamlessly in one remarkable setting.

Candi Beach Resort & Spa is situated in the eastern part of Bali, approximately a 2-hour drive from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. The resort arranged an airport pickup for us at a cost of IDR 500,000 (around SGD 41).

We booked through Luxury Escape for SGD799, and the package included several attractive features that made the price very appealing.

Day 1:

We arrived at the resort around 2pm, just in time for check-in. With all our luggage, we took a buggy to our room. We got a Junior Suite Ocean View on the first floor. A higher floor would have offered a better ocean view but being on the first floor is just way more convenient. And when you have a toddler, convenience is key. The room was spacious, with a pleasant view and a bathtub.

After dropping our bags, we went out for lunch. We wanted to just eat in of the resort’s restaurant but unknowingly went to another hotel’s restaurant, Nusa Indah Restaurant. We did not realize that our resort is split into 2 parts with another accommodation right in between. Regardless, it was a good local lunch and we would go back there again another day.

After lunch, we rested for awhile since we had an early morning flight. When we saw the beach, we knew that is where we would be next. We spent the rest of the afternoon by the beach or the pool. We then had dinner at the resort’s Ocean Terrace Restaurant and called it a day.

Day 2:

Second day is not much different. The whole idea of our Bali trip was to relax and slow down so we did just that. We enjoyed breakfast at Ocean Terrace, starting the day with a delicious meal and a beautiful ocean view.

We spent the morning lounging by the pool, either swimming or reading a book. Although we wanted to visit the beach, the waves were quite strong.

What we love about Candi Beach Resort & Spa is its tranquil and serene atmosphere. It’s never too crowded, and most guests are older tourists who leisurely read by the beach or pool and savor the slow pace of life. It perfectly matches our vibe.

We then enjoyed lunch at the resort’s Italian restaurant, Basil Restaurant and Pool Bar, where we had pizza, pasta, fries, and, of course, fruit shakes. We would either have mango or avocado shake for every meal. Afterward, we took a siesta, and I managed to squeeze in a quick run at the gym. The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing and watching the sunset by the beach. For dinner, we dined at Biru Restaurant, the resort’s spot for Indonesian cuisine.

Day 3:

Morning was another leisurely affair with breakfast, followed by time at the beach and pool. We also had a massage scheduled, which was definitely worth returning for.

Atfter lunch, we took an excursion to the nearby attraction, Tirta Gangga Water Palace. We also stopped by a shop close to the resort, Alam Zempol, which offers a range of natural bath and aromatherapy products. A shop for Icai.

Day 4:

On checkout day, I managed to fit in a run before breakfast. After packing our things, we had a brief photoshoot around the resort just before checking out.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Candi Beach Resort & Spa. From its stunning location and the warm hospitality of the staff to the delicious food and the overall relaxing atmosphere, everything was exceptional. We’d give it a 10 out of 10 and definitely plan to return. One addition that would have been nice is a children’s playground or more child-friendly activities

If you’re seeking a serene spot in Bali to relax and unwind, Candi Beach Resort & Spa might be exactly what you’re looking for.
